Colloquially called Eden Village because of the high traffic generated by Italy's Eden Viaggi tour company, this four-in-one hotel grouping (until recently known as Club Isla del Sur) also accepts other tourists. The four contiguous units differ in style, although they form a daisy chain along half a mile of gorgeous Playa Lindamar. Together they cater to the budget end of the spectrum and win no prizes for either decor or ambience.

The main complex is the Club Isla del Sur. The plain architecture is enlivened by bold tropical ice cream colors (papaya, mango, lime). Accommodations, for example, feature tricolored ceramic floors (white, gray, and yellow) and yellow-and-blue combo decor. The beds win no prizes for comforts, but rooms have a modicum of modern conveniences, including satellite TV. The smaller Club Coral and Club Soledad units feature utilitarian furniture in salmon and pea-soup green color schemes.

Canned entertainment is laid on, watersports include beach volleyball and Hobi-Cats, and there's a kid's club with playground. If you have some more money to throw around, treat yourself to the more upscale Sol Meliá properties nearby.
