Hotel Tryp Cayo Coco
This colroful all-inclusive hotel has been through various transformations in the past decade and has settled into a first-rate hotel under Spanish management. The two spectacular pools (refurbished in 2008) snaking through the grounds almost steal the show away from the gorgeous beach. The landscaping beats the pants off some of the nearby rivals thanks to a surfeit of palms.
It gives the nearby Meliá Cayo Coco a run for its money in quality and in the range of amenities, which include nine restaurants that span the globe. Not that this hotel is immune from the generally poor quality of food throughout Cuba, but at least you have choices, and some of the restaurants here are elegant. And you won't be bored here. There's plenty of waterports, from windsurfs to Hobi-Cats, plus scuba diving for an extra charge. And shore choose from tennis to basketball.
The air-conditioned accommodations show a sophistication rare for Cuban hotels, combining terra-cotta floors with gracious color schemes (two-tone greens, oranges, and creams) and tasteful contemporary rattan furniture. The 502 standards are perfectly adequate, but if you simply must have a whirlpool tub and lounge, book one of six suites. All rooms come with the to-be-expected satellite TV, in-room safe, mini bar, coffee-maker, hair-dryer, and iron and ironing board. And ceiling fans whir overhead who don't like air-conditioning.

Hello DearI would highly suggest the Melia Cayo cocoWe’ve just returned from 2 weeks at the Melia having had a great holiday..The hotel is 10 minutes from the airport (but don’t worry about hearing plane noise because there just wasn’t any). Check in is very quick and your bags are brought round by the bell boy later on. The hotel is pretty big, but it is a bit tired looking and in need of a caring touch. They obviously know this as brand new furniture arrived in the lobby bar
